Little Giant recalls 3.6 million ladders due to fall hazards

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of approximately 3,662,000 Little Giant ladders equipped with Rapid Locks. The recall follows reports that the locks can suddenly retract if they are not fully engaged, creating a significant fall hazard.

To date, the company has received 25 reports of ladders retracting, resulting in 19 reported injuries. These include serious head injuries such as traumatic brain injuries, skull fractures, concussions, vision loss, hearing loss, and cognitive impairment. Other reported injuries include bone fractures, lacerations, and bruising.

The affected models include Adjustable Fortress 2.0, Conquest 2.0, Dark Horse 2.0, Epic, King Kombo XT, Leveler, MegaLite, MegaLite+, Multi, Quantum, and Vector. These ladders, which feature black or orange Rapid Locks on each leg, were sold at retailers including Lowe’s, Costco, and Amazon from December 2015 through October 2026.
