Little Italy Festival Brings Italian Culture to Turku and Perth

The Little Italy Festival arrived in Turku, Finland, on August 6‑9 at Vanhalle Suurtori. Organized by founder Patrik Vespignani, the free event showcases Italian cuisine, wine, live music and cultural activities, emphasizing the Italian concept of “convivialità” – togetherness and enjoyment of life. Performers include Martina Attili, Miss Fritty, Roberta di Lorenzo and local Finnish artists, and the festival aims to become North Europe’s largest celebration of Italian lifestyle.

In Perth, Australia, Stadium Park was transformed into a Little Italy venue alongside the Italian Football Festival at Optus Stadium. The free, multi‑day festival runs from Friday evening through Sunday, offering Italian food, family entertainment and live music. Premier Roger Cook and Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti highlighted the event’s role in creating a vibrant atmosphere for thousands of football fans attending matches featuring AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Palermo.
