Little League World Series postpones games due to weather

Inclement weather in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, forced the postponement of all games scheduled for Thursday, August 20, at the 2026 Little League Baseball World Series. The tournament organizers have rescheduled the affected games for Friday, August 21.

Due to the rescheduling, the two 9 a.m. games—Australia vs. Mexico and Great Lakes vs. Mountain—will not be broadcast by ESPN. Because Little League International relies on ESPN broadcasts for instant replay review, these specific games will proceed without the benefit of replay review. This departure from the standard tournament ruleset has drawn criticism regarding fairness and the impact on the playing experience for the participating teams.
