Litton Das resumes training ahead of Bangladesh's Australia Test series
Bangladesh wicketkeeper‑batter Litton Das, who suffered a left calf injury during the June ODI series against Australia, has completed a training session in Darwin without any discomfort. The session, held at the DXC Arena, included both batting and wicket‑keeping drills. Bangladesh chief selector Habibul Bashar said the recovery was a relief and that a final decision on Das's participation in the three‑day practice match against Cricket Australia XI (August 6‑8) will be made on the morning of the game.
Das's return comes as Bangladesh prepares for the opening Test of the series in Australia, scheduled to start on August 13, with a second Test in Mackay later in the month. The team also faces the absence of fast bowlers Nahid Rana (side strain) and Shoriful Islam (hamstring injury), heightening the importance of Das's fitness assessment.
