Liu Chih-jung signs developmental contract with Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles

Taiwanese pitcher Liu Chih-jung has signed a developmental player contract with the Japanese professional baseball team, the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. Following his time in the Boston Red Sox organization and a recent performance at the Asian Games in Nagoya, the 27-year-old right-hander will join the Eagles wearing jersey number 101.
