LIUC – Università Cattaneo launches orientation programs for new students
LIUC – Università Cattaneo in Castellanza has announced a series of orientation activities for new students starting in September. From September 7 to 11, the university will host ‘START – Percorsi di Avvicinamento alla LIUC’, a week designed to help freshmen integrate into the academic environment.
The program includes sessions on soft skills and problem-solving, alongside academic reviews in subjects such as Business English, mathematics, statistics, and accounting for Economics students, as well as logic, physics, science, and artificial intelligence for Engineering students. Notably, the university is utilizing ‘GAUSS’ (Gen AI Used for Supporting Students), a virtual AI tutor to assist with mathematics.
A new feature this year is a parallel curriculum conducted entirely in English to accommodate international students and Italian students enrolled in English-language tracks. Additionally, the university is collaborating with the Municipality of Castellanza to host an interactive scavenger hunt using the Actionbound app. Other scheduled events include ‘Matricola Day’ on September 16, featuring music and information desks, and an online information session on September 21 for prospective undergraduate students.
