The incident occurred when Women's Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca’s attempted springboard cross‑body landed on Morgan’s left foot, leaving the champion limping briefly before she continued the match and later appeared on Raw.

WWE veteran Matt Hardy publicly criticised the promotion for not having Morgan defend her title regularly since she won it in April, saying the lack of defenses diminishes the championship’s prestige. Hardy also predicted that IYO SKY would defeat Morgan in the upcoming Queen of the Ring final, a matchup that could set up future storylines.
