Spanish singer Omar Montes performed on Thursday, 6 August, at Playa Serena II in the Roquetas de Mar urbanisation. The concert began at 22:00 as part of the ‘A pie de calle’ programme and attracted a youthful crowd drawn by his rise from reality‑TV shows to a popular music career.

Cuban duo Gente de Zona held a spectacular show the previous Tuesday at the Plaza de Toros in Roquetas de Mar. The hour‑and‑a‑half performance featured hits such as “Bailando”, “Patria y vida” and a surprise rendition of “La Macarena”, prompting the audience to dance throughout the night.
