Arena São Paulo project secured with R$1.5 bn investment, set to open 2028
Live Nation Entertainment and real‑estate developer Cidade Center Norte have formed a joint venture to build the Arena São Paulo, a new indoor arena in the Cidade Center Norte district of São Paulo’s North Zone. The project is funded with an investment of R$1.5 billion and is designed by Blueprint Studio, the firm behind venues such as the Moody Center and Barclays Center.
Construction is slated to start in the second half of 2026, with the arena scheduled to open in 2028. It will accommodate up to 21,000 spectators across three tiers of seating, include VIP lounges, climate‑controlled interiors, high‑performance acoustic treatment, and parking for about 2,000 vehicles with dedicated app‑taxi drop‑off zones.
The venue is expected to host more than 200 concerts and sporting events each year. An Oxford Economics study projects an annual economic impact of over R$1.6 billion by the fifth year of operation and the creation of roughly 1,800 jobs, boosting local tourism, hospitality and related services.
