Live Nation Takes Majority Stake in Prague’s O2 Arena, O2 Universum and Forum Karlín

Live Nation and the Czech investment group PPF have created a joint venture to operate three of Prague’s leading live‑entertainment venues. Live Nation will hold a 51 % share while PPF’s Bestsport subsidiary retains 49 % of the new company. The assets include the 20,000‑capacity O2 Arena, the 5,000‑capacity O2 Universum and the 4,000‑capacity Forum Karlín.

Both parties say the partnership will fund upgrades, improve fan and artist experiences and increase the number and profile of events in the capital. Existing management teams will stay in place and the venues will remain open to all promoters and artists. Live Nation’s EMEA president Paul Antonio noted, “Prague has been one of our most important markets for many years… this partnership is the natural next step.”
