Live Nation opens Citizens Live at the Wylie in Pittsburgh

Live Nation is opening Citizens Live at the Wylie, a new concert venue in Pittsburgh’s Lower Hill District. The facility has a capacity of approximately 4,000 to 4,300 people and is designed to host over 100 events annually, including concerts, private functions, and community gatherings.

The venue’s design incorporates the musical and cultural history of the Hill District, once a prominent jazz hub. Design elements include portraits by photographer Charles “Teenie” Harris, a mirrored piano inspired by the historic Crawford Grill, and lighting reminiscent of classic cardioid microphones. The space also features a terrace overlooking the Pittsburgh skyline and the Vinyl Room, a listening lounge.

A community event featuring local performers such as Donnie Iris & The Cruisers and NASH. V. ILL is scheduled for September 28, with proceeds benefiting the August Wilson African American Cultural Center. The regular concert schedule begins October 1 with Role Model, followed by Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa on October 2. Other upcoming performers include Styx, Boyz II Men, and Smokey Robinson.
