LiveMode TV expands Brazilian influencer sports streaming model to Portugal
LiveMode TV, the company behind Brazil's popular CazéTV free‑style football streams, is rolling out its influencer‑driven broadcast model abroad. The channel, created by presenter Casimiro Miguel, reached about 19 million concurrent viewers for the Brazil‑Japan World Cup match and has been criticized for promoting unregulated sports betting.
The firm has launched an operation in Portugal, assembling local influencers, comedians and journalists and partnering with Portuguese national team star Cristiano Ronaldo. Its first major Portuguese broadcast – the Brazil versus Morocco World Cup game – reportedly reached almost one‑third of Portuguese households. Similar influencer‑led streams are emerging in the United Kingdom and France, highlighting a broader shift toward digital, community‑focused sports coverage.
Analysts note that Latin America leads in this style of consumption, where fans watch games accompanied by real‑time commentary from digital creators, blending sports passion with social media interaction.
