LiveModeTV announced it has acquired the rights to broadcast the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Portugal, planning to air one match per day for a total of 25 games. The company highlighted its recent coverage of the 2026 men’s World Cup, where it streamed 34 matches on YouTube and Prime Video and recorded over 3.6 million unique devices, breaking audience records in the country. General Manager João Mesquita said the move reinforces the platform’s commitment to free‑to‑air football and to expanding viewership.

Separately, Portugal’s major free‑to‑air broadcasters RTP, SIC and TVI have secured a historic agreement to show 20 matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on open signal, ensuring broad access to the tournament across the nation. The arrangement complements the commercial and player‑performance analyses of Portuguese talent at the 2026 tournament, underscoring the growing importance of football broadcasting in the Portuguese media landscape.
