Livenza Wind Orchestra to perform Friuli 1976 memorial concerts

The Orchestra di Fiati della Livenza, directed by Walter Bonadè, will perform ‘Friuli, 1976: voci dalla terra’ as part of the ERT Circuit. The concert series is part of the ‘1976-2026 La forza dei legami’ program, marking the opening of the 2026/2027 season.

The performances are scheduled for October 29 at Cinecity in Lignano Sabbiadoro, October 30 at the Auditorium Aldo Moro in Cordenons, and November 5 at the Teatro Benois De Cecco in Codroipo. All shows begin at 20:45.

The project combines music and spoken word to honor the victims of the 1976 tragedy and commemorate the resilience of the Friulian people. The program features original compositions by Walter Bonadè, including ‘Memorare Iuvat’ and ‘Terra Madre’, alongside works by Michele Mangani and James Curnow. Narrator Federica Guerra will accompany the orchestra, which consists of over forty members formed from the musical bands of San Stino di Livenza and Motta di Livenza.
