Tottenham Spurs’ pursuit of Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo blocked as Liverpool refuse to sell

Tottenham Hotspur have identified Dutch forward Cody Gakpo as a key target in their summer rebuild under manager Roberto De Zerbi. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reported that Spurs are monitoring the player and would consider a bid, but Liverpool have made it clear that the door is closed and the club will not entertain an exit unless a fee around £70 million (approximately Rp 1.54 trillion) is offered.

Liverpool, newly managed by Andoni Iraola after Mohamed Salah’s departure, view Gakpo as vital cover for striker Isak and as a versatile option on the left flank. The club is also focusing on signing Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint‑Germain, which has delayed any decision on Gakpo’s future. Former Tottenham defender Alan Hutton has argued that acquiring Gakpo would solve Spurs’ lack of wide‑area goal threat. The ongoing interest and Liverpool’s firm stance have kept the transfer window narrative active across multiple outlets.
