Liverpool close to signing Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande
Liverpool are reported to be in the strongest position to secure the signature of 19‑year‑old Ivorian winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig this summer. The player, who broke into Ivory Coast's senior national team ahead of his first World Cup, impressed in the Bundesliga after moving from Leganés and was bought by Leipzig for €20 million. His performances quickly attracted a €100 million price tag and interest from several European giants.
According to transfer insider David Ornstein, Liverpool have made the most progress in talks with Diomande’s camp and have already contacted Leipzig. Paris Saint‑Germain remains interested but is not as well placed, as Leipzig would likely require a bid exceeding €130 million to consider letting the winger go. Liverpool are also monitoring other targets such as Bradley Barcola and Matías Fernández‑Pardo as alternatives.
