Liverpool defender Jeremie Frimpong trains in Vukovar kit, delights Croatian fans
Dutch international Jeremie Frimpong, who joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in May 2025, was photographed training in the shirt of Croatian top‑flight club Vukovar. He wore the number 11 jersey that belongs to his former teammate Keyendrah Simmons. The training session was overseen by his personal coach Kwaku Ohemeng and featured other players such as Manchester United left‑back Patrick Dorgu. The images quickly spread on social media, sparking excitement among Croatian supporters.
Frimpong’s move to Liverpool was completed by triggering a €40 million release clause, and he signed a five‑year contract with the Premier League side. The Vukovar shirt appearance came during a summer break after he missed a call‑up to the Dutch national team for the World Cup.
