Liverpool expects £250m+ summer transfer spend as it targets Yan Diomande

Football finance expert Stefan Borson says Liverpool could spend a minimum of £250 million in the upcoming summer transfer window, following a £450 million spending spree that included £100 million‑plus deals for Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak. The club’s spending is driven by injuries, the departure of Mohamed Salah and the need to replace key players such as Hugo Ekitike. Liverpool will also free roughly £700,000 per week in wages as Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konaté exit, strengthening its financial position.
