Liverpool eye summer signings as Diomande, Barcola and Ordoñez join transfer radar

Liverpool are preparing a major squad overhaul ahead of the 2026‑27 season. With the departures of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and centre‑back Ibrahima Konaté, new head coach Andoni Iraola is targeting several wide‑area and defensive reinforcements.

The club are in advanced talks with RB Leipzig over 19‑year‑old Ivorian winger Yan Diomande, who could command a fee of around €100 million. Paris Saint‑Germain have indicated that French winger Bradley Barcola, who has two years left on his contract, may be made available for transfer after stalled renewal talks. In addition, Liverpool have renewed interest in Club Brugge’s 22‑year‑old Ecuadorian defender Joel Ordoñez, with Brugge reportedly willing to accept a fee near €45 million.

These targets reflect Liverpool’s need to replace outgoing talent and to broaden attacking options after a season in which senior wide players underperformed. The pursuit of Diomande, Barcola and Ordoñez underscores a strategic rebuild under Iraola as the club aims to remain competitive in the Premier League and the Champions League.
