Liverpool eyes fresh start under new coach Andoni Iraola, says former manager Jürgen Klopp

Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said the club’s disappointing season after a title win was caused by a combination of factors, including the unexpected loss of striker Diogo Jota. He praised the appointment of Andoni Iraola, calling him a “quality specialist” comparable to Dutch coach Arne Slot, but warned that success will require time, coordination and a bit of luck.

Klopp noted that despite the poor league performance, Liverpool still secured a Champions League place. The Premier League season begins in the penultimate weekend of August, with Liverpool’s first match on 23 August at St James’ Park against Newcastle United, followed by a home debut at Anfield on 29 August versus Nottingham Forest.
