Liverpool FC advances long-term recruitment strategy with youth signings

Liverpool FC continues to execute a long-term recruitment strategy focused on young talent. The club has reached an agreement to sign 18-year-old French forward Djylian N’Guessan from Saint-Etienne. N’Guessan is expected to become a permanent player in January, though he will remain on loan at Stade Brestois for the remainder of the 2026-27 campaign to gain senior experience in Ligue 1.

In Northern Ireland, 15-year-old Michael Mulholland has scored his first senior goal for Crusaders during a 4-1 defeat against Coleraine. Mulholland, who previously scored 256 goals in a single youth season, is scheduled to join Liverpool in 2027.

Regarding recent transfer activity, journalist David Ornstein assigned Liverpool a ‘C’ grade for their summer window. However, Ornstein noted that the club’s signings may be viewed more favorably over time, citing recent improved performances as an indicator of potential value.
