Liverpool faces Brentford amid injury concerns

Liverpool prepares to face Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium this Saturday in a Premier League fixture. Following a high-scoring 6-3 Champions League victory against LASK Linz, manager Andoni Iraola has warned his squad to remain “battle ready” for a physical encounter against a Brentford side currently sitting fourth in the league.

Liverpool faces significant selection challenges due to injuries and suspensions. The availability of Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo, and Dominik Szoboszlai remains uncertain as they recover from thigh and hamstring issues. Additionally, midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is suspended. Despite these setbacks, Bradley Barcola enters the match with high confidence after scoring a hat-trick in midweek European action.

Football pundits Roy Keane and Steven Gerrard have both predicted a 1-1 draw, citing Liverpool’s current injury concerns and Brentford’s strong home form.
