Liverpool FC faces challenges following Mohamed Salah departure

Liverpool FC faces significant challenges following the departure of Mohamed Salah, according to former player Graeme Souness and current midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

Souness has criticized Salah’s impact on the club’s previous struggles, claiming the winger was the “single biggest reason” for a poor title defense. Souness suggested Salah caused issues within the dressing room and noted a decline in his performance levels and engagement during matches.

Midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai acknowledged the difficulty of replacing Salah’s goal-scoring and creative output. He stated, “There is only one Mo Salah,” and emphasized that the team must now collectively step up to cover the scoring void left by the player. Szoboszlai also noted tactical shifts under manager Arne Slot, mentioning his own transition between playing as a number 10 and a number 8.
