Liverpool FC linked with Assane Diao amid squad restructuring

Liverpool FC is reportedly linked with Assane Diao, a 21-year-old winger currently playing for Serie A club Como, as the team seeks a natural right-winger to fill the void left by Mohamed Salah.

Following Salah's departure, which freed up approximately £20 million in wages, the club has focused on squad restructuring. While the team added left-wingers, interest in Diao has emerged alongside interest from Manchester United.

In a separate discussion regarding the current squad, former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard named Virgil van Dijk as the team's best player. Gerrard also commented on potential future leadership within the club, noting the importance of succession for the veteran defender.
