Liverpool reportedly targets Kylian Mbappé amid Real Madrid rift

Reports indicate a growing rift between Kylian Mbappé and Real Madrid, with the French forward allegedly planning to leave the club in the summer of 2027. According to journalist François Gallardo, Mbappé has expressed dissatisfaction with the club's leadership and feels unsupported in the dressing room, specifically citing Real Madrid's failure to launch a campaign in support of his Ballon d'Or candidacy.

Liverpool has reportedly emerged as the player's priority destination. Reports suggest that Liverpool has initiated contact with Mbappé's mother and representative, Fayza Lamari, in recent weeks. A potential transfer could involve a fee between 200 million and 250 million euros, which would make it one of the most expensive transfers in football history.

Internal tensions at Real Madrid have also been highlighted by recent friction with manager Jose Mourinho regarding player conduct and social media use during injury recovery. While Mbappé remains under contract with Real Madrid until 2029, the reported desire for a Premier League move has intensified speculation regarding his future at the Santiago Bernabéu.
