Liverpool FC targeted Yankuba Minteh in summer transfer window

Liverpool FC reportedly considered a significant transfer move for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh during the summer window. According to journalist Foday Manneh, the club was prepared to increase an earlier £60 million offer to a range of £72 million to £75 million to secure the player as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Despite the interest and the potential for a high-value deal, the move did not materialize due to concerns regarding Minteh’s injury history. Liverpool had previously brought in Victor Munoz and Bradley Barcola following Salah’s departure to Trabzonspor, but the club remained interested in acquiring a right-sided winger before the deadline.
