Liverpool FC targets Roma midfielder Manu Kone

Journalist David Ornstein noted that Kone came close to joining Chelsea before the club pivoted to AS Monaco’s Lamine Camara, though that deal also failed to materialize. While Liverpool has been linked to Camara, reports suggest the club is specifically interested in Kone as a future option to bolster their midfield.

The interest comes as Liverpool seeks to address concerns regarding their midfield performance following a period of underwhelming results. While manager Andoni Iraola has downplayed the immediate need for reinforcements, the club continues to evaluate options to strengthen their defensive presence in the center of the pitch.
