Liverpool FC updates: Amara Nallo returns from loan and Cody Gakpo avoids City move

Liverpool defender Amara Nallo has returned to Merseyside following the premature end of his loan spell at HJK Helsinki. The 19-year-old's move to Finland was cut short due to injury concerns, and he is expected to undergo recovery at the AXA training centre.

Separately, Liverpool player Cody Gakpo has been highlighted by club legend John Aldridge for avoiding a potential summer transfer to Manchester City. Aldridge suggested Gakpo ‘dodged a bullet’ given the ongoing Premier League financial rule investigations involving City, which could lead to significant squad instability or relegation if the club's appeals fail.
