Liverpool interested in Inter Milan midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic

Liverpool FC has reportedly maintained interest in Inter Milan midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic. The interest emerged during previous negotiations between the two clubs regarding Curtis Jones, where Liverpool explored the possibility of a player exchange involving the 21-year-old Serbian midfielder.

Stankovic, the son of Inter legend Dejan Stankovic, was previously sent to Club Brugge to gain experience before Inter Milan activated a buy-back option to bring him back to Milan this summer. While Inter Milan considered various options, including a loan with an obligation to buy, the club ultimately decided to retain him following insistence from coach Cristian Chivu.

Although Liverpool is currently satisfied with its midfield depth, including the integration of Trey Nyoni, reports suggest the club may reassess its requirements next year, keeping Stankovic on their shortlist for a potential future move.
