Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola addresses inconsistent form

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has acknowledged the inevitable “ups and downs” during his early tenure following a 0-0 draw against Fulham. While the team remains undefeated in its first five matches of the season, three draws in four Premier League fixtures have seen the club lose ground to title contenders Arsenal and Manchester City.

Iraola expressed frustration regarding the recent stalemate but emphasized the need for consistency to replicate the performance levels seen in previous wins against Ipswich and Atletico Madrid. He noted that the team is working toward a specific style of football and expressed confidence in the squad depth, bolstered by recent signings including Bradley Barcola, Jeremy Jacquet, and Victor Munoz.

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker praised Iraola’s impact on the dressing room and his tactical adjustments during matches. Despite the unbeaten start, Alisson stressed that the team is not satisfied with frequent draws, stating that the club must aim for more significant results. Liverpool is scheduled to face Tottenham in the third round of the League Cup at Anfield.
