Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola seeks stability ahead of Premier League start

The Spanish coach is focused on improving the team's ability to maintain high intensity and consistent pressing throughout entire matches, noting that the squad struggled to sustain performance levels in recent matches against Leeds and Monaco.

Iraola highlighted the positive performance of Alexander Isak in recent play and welcomed the return of Alexis Mac Allister to the training center. To bolster the defense, the club has secured Ronald Araújo on loan from Barcelona until June 2027. The Uruguayan defender has already begun training with the squad.

Liverpool will face Italian side Como in two friendly matches this Sunday to finalize preparations. The first match will be held behind closed doors, while the second will take place at Anfield. The Premier League campaign is scheduled to commence on August 23 against Newcastle United.
