Liverpool pre-season plans open opportunities for fringe players

Liverpool FC will begin pre‑season training at the AXA Training Centre in late June, after the World Cup break. With the departure of centre‑back Ibrahima Konaté to Real Madrid, Virgil van Dijk on holiday, and several senior players away, the squad will be light on experienced defenders. The club’s coaches expect fringe players and recent signings to compete for spots, highlighting 21‑year‑old French defender Jeremy Jacquet and recovering midfielder Stefan Bajcetic as potential first‑team candidates.

At the same time, Liverpool has launched a summer sale on its 2025/26 kits. Through a partnership with TopCashback, the red training tee, normally £45, can be purchased for as little as £3.86 after cashback and a £15 sign‑up bonus, with similar offers on the sea‑green European version. The promotion runs alongside ticket sales for the 2026/27 Premier League season, which opens with a match against Newcastle United on August 23.
