Liverpool pursues PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye as John Stones joins Inter

Liverpool Football Club have been linked with a bid for 18‑year‑old PSG forward Ibrahim Mbaye. Reports suggest the club is prepared to meet a €170 million (≈£145 million) price tag. Mbaye, who has made 42 appearances for PSG and featured for Senegal, has been praised by former Liverpool star Sadio Mané as an "exceptional" talent with a bright future.

At the same time, Liverpool missed the chance to sign England defender John Stones. The 32‑year‑old, whose contract with Manchester City expired, reached a verbal agreement on a free‑transfer move to Inter Milan. Liverpool had previously listed Stones as a serious defensive option, but the transfer to Inter appears set to be completed this week, leaving Anfield with a continued need for central‑defence reinforcements.
