Liverpool's €100m bid for Yan Diomande rejected by RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig turned down Liverpool's opening €100 million offer ( €90 million plus €10 million in add‑ons) for 19‑year‑old Ivorian winger Yan Diomande, stating the player’s valuation is considerably higher. Leipzig indicated the price could rise toward €130‑148 million, a figure that would set a Bundesliga record. Liverpool remain optimistic, with reports that the club may raise its bid to £104 million‑£112 million in an effort to secure the player, whose departure would be a record‑breaking fee for the Premier League champions.

Diomande, a breakout star at the 2026 World Cup, was named man of the match as Ivory Coast beat Ecuador and earned praise from pundits Gary Neville, Ian Wright and former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge. Apart from Liverpool, Paris Saint‑Germain have also shown interest, while Leipzig aim to keep the winger by offering a new contract and release clause through 2027.
