Liverpool rallies to 4-2 win over Leeds after early goals and substitutions

Liverpool conceded two early goals in the first half after substituting in Dominik Szoboszlai and Milos Kerkez. Luke Chambers opened the scoring from a Kerkez cross, and Florian Wirtz added a second, giving Leeds a 2‑0 lead at halftime.

In the second half Liverpool responded quickly, with Dominic Calvert‑Lewin and Sean Longstaff each scoring within two minutes to level the match. Curtis Jones later reclaimed the captain’s armband, and the team completed the comeback with two more goals, finishing 4‑2. The match also saw Jeremie Frimpong injured and replaced by Calum Scanlon.

The victory highlighted Liverpool’s resilience after a turbulent start and marked a notable performance for the newly‑substituted Hungarian midfielder Szoboszlai.
