Liverpool intensify chase for Yan Diomande as rival bids loom

Liverpool have made a first €100 million (about £86 million) bid for 19‑year‑old RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, which the German club rejected, stating a valuation of up to €130 million. The Premier League club is reportedly preparing a second, higher offer after Diomande's standout performances for the Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup raised his profile.

Paris Saint‑Germain are also monitoring Diomande and are expected to enter the race, meaning Liverpool must act quickly to stay ahead. The club’s new head coach Andoni Iraola has identified Diomande as a priority target to replace Mohamed Salah.

In parallel, Liverpool have completed the signing of Spanish winger Víctor Muñoz from Osasuna for around €40 million, the first official summer acquisition under Iraola. Additionally, young midfielder Luca Stephenson is set to leave for Bolton Wanderers after the club gave him permission to seek a permanent move.
