Liverpool target RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande in £100m bid

Liverpool have identified 19‑year‑old Ivorian winger Yan Diomande as their primary summer target. The RB Leipzig forward recorded 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances this season and is praised for his two‑footed speed, dribbling and ability to change pace instantly. Liverpool’s pursuit comes after Mohamed Salah’s announced departure and would represent a fee in excess of €100 million (about £87 million), making Diomande the club’s third‑most expensive signing behind Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz.

David Ornstein of The Athletic says Liverpool are in a "strong position" and have begun talks, though Leipzig will only consider offers above their valuation and may keep the player for another season if they qualify for the Champions League. Paris Saint‑Germain are also monitoring the situation, and Liverpool have a secondary option in fellow Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, who has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs.
