Liverpool FC undergoes squad overhaul and transfer activity

Liverpool is navigating a period of significant structural and squad changes under head coach Andoni Iraola. Following the departures of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konaté, and the exit of manager Arne Slot, the club is actively reshaping its roster.

In the transfer market, Liverpool is linked to several players. The club is reportedly advancing in a deal for Mexican midfielder Gilberto Mora, potentially worth £37 million. Other targets include Fulham's Josh King and Barcelona's Marc Bernal to bolster the midfield. While there has been speculation regarding Bayern Munich's Michael Olise, reports suggest the winger prefers a move to Spain over a return to the Premier League.

Defensive leadership is also a focus, with captain Virgil van Dijk facing contract uncertainty that has attracted interest from Galatasaray. Additionally, the club is monitoring Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes amid contract negotiations. On the administrative side, Julian Ward has returned as sporting director to oversee football operations as the club enters a new era with 1892 Holdings as a minority shareholder.
