Liverpool Targeting Young Talents Gilberto Mora and Haissem Hassan in 2026 Transfer Drive

Liverpool have identified 17‑year‑old Mexican playmaker Gilberto Mora of Club Tijuana as a potential signing. Journalist Pete O’Rourke noted that "it won’t just be Liverpool who are interested in Mora" and that the Mexican prodigy, a breakout star of the World Cup, has attracted interest from major European clubs. His contract runs until 2029, making a low‑cost acquisition challenging.

In parallel, the club have entered formal talks with Spanish side Real Oviedo to secure 24‑year‑old French‑Egyptian winger Haissem Hassan. The reported deal would trigger a release clause of under €12 million following Oviedo’s relegation. Manager Andoni Iraola, overseeing a rebuild after the departures of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konaté, sees Hassan’s dribbling ability as a boost to Liverpool’s attacking options.

Both moves are part of a broader overhaul under Iraola, aiming to reshape the squad’s identity and prepare for the 2026 summer transfer window.
