Liverpool to secure Szoboszlai contract while targeting Crystal Palace midfielder
Liverpool FC is preparing a new long‑term contract for Hungarian captain Dominik Szoboszlai, rejecting any summer sale despite reported interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint‑Germain. The club aims to finalise the deal before the start of the next Premier League season, viewing Szoboszlai as a core part of its future midfield.
At the same time, Liverpool is actively pursuing Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, with reports suggesting the Reds could spend over £70 million on the 21‑year‑old. Other midfield options under review include the possible departure of Curtis Jones to Inter Milan and uncertainty over the future of Alexis Mac Allister. These moves are part of a broader strategy to strengthen the squad ahead of the new campaign.
