Women's Super League Merseyside Derby Liverpool FC Women Everton Women WSL

Liverpool Women will face Everton Women in the first Merseyside Derby of the Women's Super League season at Anfield this Sunday. Liverpool currently sits seventh in the WSL table, while Everton occupies fifth place.

Liverpool enters the match having lost only one of their four competitive games this season, including a recent 4-2 victory in the Women's League Cup against Sunderland. Everton arrives following three consecutive victories, including a 2-0 League Cup win over Birmingham City.

In a show of club support, Liverpool men’s head coach Andoni Iraola is expected to attend the match with his family. Liverpool Women manager Gareth Taylor described the gesture as a “really big positive step” that demonstrates alignment and support across the club’s different departments.
