livestock industry cattle farming agricultural conventions sheep and goat production livestock fairs

Various regional livestock events and recognitions are taking place across Mexico and Spain. In Coahuila, Mexico, Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas inaugurated the 90th National Livestock Convention. The event, hosted at the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, brought together over 1,500 producers to strengthen the national livestock sector.

In Aguascalientes, Mexico, the Secretariat of Rural and Agro-business Development (Sedrae) honored producers in the sheep and goat sectors. This recognition coincided with the 40th anniversary of the Local Livestock Association of Sheep and Goat Breeders of Aguascalientes (AGLOYCA). The state currently maintains a population of approximately 57,810 sheep and 10,934 goats.

In Albalá, Spain, the XXII Selected Livestock Fair is scheduled for October 23–25. The event aims to showcase diverse breeds, including the introduction of the Retinta breed. Organizers expect participation from 30 livestock farms, featuring 160 cattle and 200 sheep, with an anticipated attendance of 1,000 visitors.
