Livestock theft investigation in Argentina reveals 78 dead cows
An investigation into the mass theft of livestock in Argentina has taken a grim turn. Following reports from producers in Chajarí, Entre Ríos, regarding the disappearance of over 170 cattle, police conducted an inspection at the “La Emelina” rural establishment in Curuzú Cuatiá, Corrientes.
During the search, authorities discovered 78 dead adult cows on the property. The site is a rented pasture frequently used by Entre Ríos producers. The investigation, led by Rural and Environmental Prosecutor Oscar Cañete, is working to clarify whether the incident is a case of mass cattle rustling or if other factors are involved.
