Livetoon launches Tatara AI character creation service

Livetoon Co., Ltd. has officially released Tatara, a service that allows users to create AI characters using their own VRM models. By setting specific voices, personalities, tones, and roles, users can transform 3D models into interactive desktop companions that can converse and assist with tasks.

These AI characters are capable of changing facial expressions and motions in sync with their speech. Tatara also integrates with AI tools such as OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, and OpenCode, enabling users to perform technical tasks like coding through verbal instructions and dialogue.

The service has moved from an invitation-only phase to a general release, allowing anyone to download the desktop application. Future plans for the platform include features to export characters to streaming, video, or websites, as well as a marketplace for purchasing and selling voices, personalities, and motions.
