Livigno to host ICON Xtreme Triathlon in September 2026

The ICON Xtreme Triathlon, a premier event on the XTRI World Tour, is returning to Livigno, Italy, from September 2 to 5, 2026. Marking its tenth anniversary, the competition is recognized as one of the most extreme endurance challenges globally.

The race officially begins at dawn on Friday, September 4, following a week of preparatory activities including briefings, reconnaissance, and lake familiarization. The course utilizes the high-altitude terrain of the Alps, featuring a swim in Lake Livigno, a 195-kilometer cycling leg through mountain passes such as Forcola, Bernina, Forno, Passo dello Stelvio, and Passo del Foscagno, and a marathon.

The event concludes at Carosello 3000, reaching an altitude of 3,000 meters, which represents the highest finish point in the entire XTRI World Tour.
