Living Water spring near Bosnek offers unique hiking experience

Located approximately 40–45 kilometers from Sofia on the slopes of Vitosha, the ‘Living Water’ spring near the village of Bosnek is a notable natural attraction in Bulgaria. The spring is characterized by a unique rhythmic flow, where water appears in surges, stops unexpectedly, and then flows again.

The site is part of the Bosnek karst region and features a stone head resembling a dragon or serpent from which the water emerges. The area provides a hiking route through forest landscapes and the Dobri Dol river valley, serving as a destination for day trips that do not require specialized mountain equipment or extensive preparation.
