Livno Civil Protection receives new rescue equipment
The Civil Protection unit of Livno has received new battery-powered rescue equipment valued at over 41,000 marks. The tools, which include cutting and spreading devices, are designed for use in traffic accidents and difficult terrain, as well as for interventions in rubble.
The equipment is part of the project ‘Bosnia and Herzegovina: Strengthening local capacities for preparedness and response to disasters’. This initiative provides specialized tools to 25 local communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina in phases based on assessed risks. In addition to Livno, Tomislavgrad and Ljubuški also received new tools through this phase.
The project is funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). The handover was attended by the Italian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarah Eti Castellani.
