Livno commemorates 34th anniversary of Special Police unit

The 34th anniversary of the founding of the Special Police Livno was commemorated in Livno with a series of events. Organized by the Special Police Association from the Homeland War Livno with support from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Hercegbosna Canton, the program included a humanitarian blood donation drive at the County Hospital in Livno.

Following the blood drive, a memorial mass was held at the Church of All Saints for fallen and deceased members of the MUP HR HB. Ceremonies continued at the St. Michael memorial in front of the Hercegbosna Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs building, where candles were laid and a minute of silence was observed to honor the unit's members.

Throughout the Homeland War, the unit saw 252 members pass through its ranks, including three killed, three captured, and 34 wounded. The commemorations concluded with a gathering at the ‘Colonel Alojzije Krišto – Malo Borje’ Veterans Camp.
