Livno high school students create murals of local heritage

Students from the ‘Silvije Strahimir Kranjčević’ vocational high school in Livno have transformed graffiti-covered walls near the city park into murals celebrating the region's natural and cultural heritage. The artwork features local wild horses, the old bridge on the Bistrica river, and the monument to King Tomislav, set against a backdrop of surrounding mountains and a sunset sky.

The project was designed by student Marija Čamber and executed by seven other students under the guidance of Professor Ana Šušnjar. It was carried out in collaboration with the ‘Uvažavanje’ Coalition against Hate, with support from the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Local companies Color Čavar and BiloTrade provided the necessary paint.

This initiative follows a similar project from December last year, where students covered offensive graffiti on a city market building. The murals aim to promote local beauty while conveying messages of unity, tolerance, and community belonging.
