Livno horse with broken leg rescued after bureaucratic delays

A horse from Livno with a broken leg has been rescued and is now under the care of environmental activist Amer Beganović. The rescue follows several days of reported pain for the animal and significant delays caused by bureaucratic hurdles.

Beganović, an activist from Zenica, criticized local authorities and veterinary services in Livno for failing to act promptly. He alleged that institutions repeatedly shifted responsibility to one another, specifically citing a lack of cooperation from the cantonal veterinary inspectorate. Beganović stated that he had even offered to cover all financial costs, including veterinary fees and transportation, to expedite the process, but was still met with systemic resistance.

The horse is being moved to Zenica to receive specialized medical attention. Beganović emphasized that the animal requires constant supervision and intensive care to survive the recovery process.
